Approved Equipment
last updated Friday October 15th, 2010 @ 21:05 UTC

The below information is obsolete and pending replacement.

The chart below includes all of the current aircraft models on the "Approved Equipment List" for TransGear Airways events. To ensure that you will see all participants' models, consult the chart on the appropriate Event page to see what model each pilot intends to use, then check this list to ascertain download locations for that model. (NOTE: The download links are for convenience only; I make no guarantee that the locations given here are to the most current updated version.) If you find that a model on this list is outdated, or is being supported at a different website than listed, or has multiple supported versions available, or has any issues not detailed on this list -- please e-mail me so I can update this chart accordingly.

Please be aware of the compatibility between the version of aircraft you download with the version of FlightGear that you run. Otherwise, not all features may work, and flight performance may differ when using the same model on one FlightGear version versus another. Download and install models per included instructions and contact the model author or distributor for any necessary technical support.

Additionally, if there is an aircraft you would like to use which is not on this list, contact me in the FlightGear Forums or via e-mail to request that I add it. Most likely, I will do so as long as:

Please keep in mind that not all of the aircraft included below include the necessary equipment and/or gauges to follow real-world IFR navigation and procedures. Be sure to choose an aircraft model appropriately equipped for the level of procedural adherence you desire.
